El Fuego Loaded Beef Nachos
Prep time: 15 Minutes
Cook time: 15 Minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredients
- Tortilla Chips – 1 large bag
- Ground Beef – 1 lb
- Black Beans, Drained – 1 can
- Cheddar and Monterey Jack, Shredded – 3 cups total
- My Sauce Lab El Fuego – 4 tbsp (divided)
- Ground Cumin – 1 tsp
- Pickled Jalapeños – 1/2 cup
- Tomato, Diced – 1
- Red Onion, Diced – 1/4 cup
- Sour Cream, Guacamole, and Cilantro – for serving
- Salt – to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cumin, black beans, 2 tbsp El Fuego, and a pinch of salt. Cook 2 more minutes.
- Spread half the chips on a large sheet pan. Top with half the beef mixture and half the cheese. Repeat with a second layer — layering is what keeps the bottom chips from going bare.
- Bake 10-12 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
- Top with jalapeños, tomato, and red onion, then drizzle with the remaining 2 tbsp El Fuego.
- Serve immediately with sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
