Schezwan Chili Paneer
Prep time: 15 Minutes
Cook time: 15 Minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- Paneer, Cubed – 14 oz
- Cornstarch – 1/3 cup
- All-Purpose Flour – 2 tbsp
- Bell Peppers, Diced – 2
- Onion, Diced – 1
- Garlic, Minced – 4 cloves
- My Sauce Lab Schezwan – 5 tbsp
- Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil – for frying
- Green Onion, Sliced – for garnish
- Salt – to taste
Directions
- Toss the paneer cubes with the cornstarch, flour, a splash of water, and a pinch of salt until lightly coated.
- Heat about half an inch of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the paneer for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Pour off all but 2 tbsp of oil. Stir-fry the garlic, onion, and bell peppers over high heat for 3 minutes — keep them crunchy.
- Add the Schezwan sauce and soy sauce, tossing to coat the vegetables.
- Add the fried paneer and toss quickly, no more than a minute, so it stays crisp.
- Garnish with green onion and serve hot as a starter or with fried rice.
